Channel Storage Shuttle Racking System
A COMPACT SEMI-AUTOMATED PALLET STORAGE SOLUTION
For warehouse racking, channel storage shuttle systems are often used because they make it easy to store and get things. When goods are stored and taken out of the same pallet channel multiple times, these methods work especially well. The shuttle is lifted up on the forks of a basic truck and put into the pallet channel, where it can move under the stored pallets without being connected to the truck.
As soon as the first pallet is put down and the start button on the working terminal is pressed, the control system takes over and makes all the necessary moves for storage and retrieval. Sensors keep track of where the kept pallets are, so that new pallets can be put away and taken out without causing any accidents. In the meantime, the truck driver can go get another load and start the next step in putting things away.
The shuttle system is driven by lithium batteries that can last for a long time. This lets the shuttle move along rails inside a storage channel. Remote control or WMS management tools can be used to move the shuttle into drive-in racks. Pallets can be moved in and out of storage without the use of forklifts. This increases the number of pallets that can be stored and lowers the risk of accidents and the cost of fixing broken racks.
